Fool proof guide to websites for a start-up

So, you decided to take the next step and have decided to start a business. The logical first step is always to create a website that suits your needs. Many people however make the mistake of not spending a lot of time on their website or just letting someone take care of it. For some cases this might work but in the case of your own companies’ website a personal touch is needed. So, what can you do to create the perfect website?

Do your homework.

If you are launching your business chances are that you have studied the market to see if your business has a place in it. If you haven’t done this you should probably stop reading this blog and go and do that. Seriously. If you did great, that means you probably identified some competitors, right? Go check out their websites. If you don’t have any competitors, there’s many Start-up website examples out there. Take a look how they did it and what they did to set themselves apart. The last thing you want is your website to be a copy paste job like a thousand other soulless websites. You want to give it a personal touch that shows you actually care about your website. As you should.

Hire a pro

Now you have properly looked around you should have a good idea what you want your website to look like and what you think it should contain. The next step is easy, find a professional either a freelancer or an actual company to design and create your website for you. Seriously trust us on this, you might be able to do an ok job in creating it yourself but this is one thing you don’t want to be stingy on. Your website is most likely a clients first impression of your company, if you make sure that first impression sticks, then that is worth the extra money. Remember the research you did earlier? Well you should have taken notes, because the better you can explain to the designer what you want the closer the final product be to your wishes
